Diskontinuität
Diskontinuität refers to a break or interruption in a sequence, process, or relationship. In mathematics, it specifically describes points where a function is not continuous. This can occur in several ways. A removable discontinuity is like a hole in a graph that could be "filled in" to make the function continuous. An essential discontinuity, also known as a jump discontinuity, happens when the function jumps from one value to another at a certain point. An infinite discontinuity occurs when the function approaches positive or negative infinity at a specific point, often associated with vertical asymptotes.
