Disjunctitis
Disjunctitis is a hypothetical neurological condition that describes the perceived feeling of a body part being disconnected or detached from the rest of the body. While not a recognized medical diagnosis in current scientific literature, the concept has appeared in discussions of phantom limb phenomena and other sensory disturbances. Individuals experiencing symptoms associated with disjunctitis might report a limb feeling "numb," "heavy," or "as if it's not mine." This subjective sensation can arise from various neurological pathways, including those involved in proprioception (the sense of the relative position of one's own parts of the body) and somatosensation (the sensations felt throughout the body).
The underlying causes for such a sensation, if it were to manifest, could theoretically involve damage or
