Dioxaanimuodot

Dioxaanimuodot, also known as dioxane isomers, refers to a group of organic compounds that share the molecular formula C4H8O2 and contain an ether functional group. The name "dioxane" itself implies a six-membered ring structure containing two oxygen atoms. There are three possible constitutional isomers of dioxane, differing in the relative positions of the two oxygen atoms within the six-membered ring. It is often used as a solvent in laboratories and in various industrial processes, including the production of other chemicals. However, its use has become more restricted due to environmental and health concerns, as it is considered a probable human carcinogen and can persist in the environment.
