Diiselpartiklite, often referred to as diesel particulate matter (DPM) or soot, are microscopic solid particles primarily generated from the incomplete combustion of diesel fuel. These particles consist mainly of carbon, but can also contain adsorbed substances such as sulfates, nitrates, and heavy metals, depending on the fuel composition and combustion conditions.
