Dicraeosaurus
Dicraeosaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaur from the Late Jurassic of Africa. It is a member of Dicraeosauridae, a small family within the larger Diplodocoidea, and fossils have been recovered from the Tendaguru Formation in what is now Tanzania. The genus is represented by the type species Dicraeosaurus brancai, among possibly other taxa described from Tendaguru material. The Tendaguru assemblage dates to roughly 160–150 million years ago, providing a window into sauropod diversity during this interval.
