Determinators

Determinators are a concept within philosophical logic and metaphysics that explore the nature of properties and their relation to objects. A determinator, in essence, is a property or characteristic that, when possessed by an object, fully specifies or "determines" certain other aspects of that object's nature or its possible future states. The idea is that some properties are more fundamental or constitutive than others, fixing the boundaries or essential features of a thing.

For example, in some philosophical frameworks, the fundamental physical properties of a particle might be considered determinators of its behavior. If we know all the intrinsic, fundamental properties of a particle, we might argue that this knowledge determines all its other observable properties and its causal interactions. This contrasts with properties that are merely accidental or consequential, which do not necessarily fix the essence of an object.
