Destutt
Destutt is a surname of French origin. The most notable bearer is Antoine Louis Claude Destutt de Tracy (1754–1836), commonly referred to as Destutt de Tracy, a French philosopher and nobleman active during the late Enlightenment, the French Revolution, and the Napoleonic era. He is best known for initiating a systematic study of ideas and for coining the term ideology.
