Deklareerimises

Deklareerimises is an Estonian term describing the act or process of declaration in administrative and legal contexts. It derives from the verb deklareerima (to declare) and the noun deklareerimine (declaration); the form deklareerimises is the inessive case, meaning “in the declaration” or “in the process of declaring.” In practice, deklareerimises appears in discussions of taxation, customs, corporate reporting, and other data submissions to public authorities.

Common contexts include tax declarations, where individuals and businesses report income, deductions, and credits; value-added tax declarations; and customs declarations for imported or exported goods. In corporate and public administration, declarations may be submitted to registries or regulatory agencies. The process typically requires providing identifying information, relevant financial or goods data, and supporting documentation. Declarations are generally submitted through online portals or official forms, with deadlines set by law; accurate and timely declarations influence liabilities, refunds, or penalties.

Authorities handling deklareerimises include the Estonian Tax and Customs Board (Maksu- ja Tolliamet) and other state registries, depending on the domain.
