Dehisced

The splitting can occur along specific lines or seams in the fruit wall, driven by changes in moisture content or internal pressure. Examples of dehiscent fruits include peas, beans, and poppy capsules. The process of dehiscence allows the seeds to be scattered away from the parent plant, reducing competition for resources and increasing the chances of successful germination in new locations.
