Definitus

Definitus is a Latin adjective formed as the masculine nominative singular of the perfect passive participle of definire, meaning to bound, limit, or determine. In meaning it carries the sense of something that is definite, settled, or clearly defined. The adjective agrees with the noun in gender, number, and case, with the typical endings definitus (masculine), definitiva (feminine), and definitum (neuter).

In classical Latin usage, definitus describes terms, statements, or conditions that have been fixed, determined, or explicitly defined. It can appear in legal, rhetorical, or philosophical contexts to indicate that a concept or description has been established or bounded in a particular way. As a participial adjective, it often functions attributively or predicatively, much like other -us/-a/-um adjectives.
