Decamerons
The Decameron is a collection of one hundred tales by the 14th-century Italian author Giovanni Boccaccio. The stories are framed within a narrative that takes place during the Black Death in Florence. Ten young people, seven women and three men, flee the city to a villa in the countryside to escape the plague. Over ten days, each person tells a story each day, hence the title "Decameron," derived from the Greek words deka (ten) and hemera (day).
