Dayaranlanguage is a constructed language created for the Dayaran fictional universe. It is designed to enrich worldbuilding by providing a distinct linguistic system for its speakers. The language has a documented phonology, morphology, syntax, and writing system, and is studied by enthusiasts and scholars of conlangs.

Dayaranlanguage is typically described as an agglutinative, analytic language with a predominantly SVO word order. It draws on a mix of inherited grammatical patterns and invented morphemes to encode tense, aspect, mood, definiteness, number, and case. Regional varieties reflect social strata, geography, and historical contact with neighboring languages.

Phonology: The consonant inventory includes p, t, k, m, n, s, l, r, v, j, and a few marginal sounds such as h and g. Vowels are five basic vowels a, e, i, o, u, with occasional vowel harmony or vowel length distinctions noted in some dialects. Stress typically falls on the penultimate syllable.

Writing system: Dayaran uses a Latin-based alphabet for everyday writing, augmented by diacritics to mark vowel quality and certain consonant contrasts. A historical script, described in in-universe lore as a syllabary, is occasionally depicted but rarely used in modern texts.

Grammar: Nouns have minimal case marking, with articles indicating definiteness. Verbs carry affixes to mark tense, aspect, mood, voice, and agreement with subject or object pronouns. Pronouns can be cliticized or integrated into the verb. Adjectival phrases generally agree with nouns in number.

Dialectology and status: There are several named dialects, such as Dayaran Coastal, Highlands, and Trade, each with distinctive phonetic or lexical features. In the Dayaran universe, the language is taught in schools and appears in literature and media, but it remains a constructed language with no native speakers.
