Daxing

Daxing refers primarily to Daxing District, a district of Beijing Municipality in China. Located in the southern part of Beijing, the district encompasses a mix of urban neighborhoods, rural villages, and industrial zones and has undergone rapid development as the city’s footprint has expanded southward. The name comes from Chinese characters meaning “great prosperity,” a historical aspirational label for the area, which was previously organized as a county before its integration into Beijing’s urban administrative divisions.
