Dasycladopsis is a genus of fossil green algae belonging to the order Dasycladales. These algae are characterized by their distinctive, often cylindrical or club-shaped thalli, which are composed of a central stem or axis surrounded by a whorl of primary branches. These primary branches can then give rise to secondary and even tertiary branches, creating a complex, feathery, or branched structure.
