Darcyego

Darcyego is a city and administrative center in the Valoria region of Veridia. Located on the banks of the Darcy River, it sits about 60 kilometers northeast of the regional capital and serves as a commercial and cultural hub for surrounding towns. The population is around 52,000 residents as of 2023.

Darcyego was founded in the 12th century as a market settlement and grew with river trade and later industrial activities in the 19th century. The city sits on gently rolling terrain with forested hills to the north. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool winters.

The economy combines agriculture, light manufacturing, logistics, and services. The river and a regional rail line support trade, while a modern industrial park hosts small and mid-sized firms. The city center preserves historic architecture alongside new developments, and the central market is a main gathering place.

Education and culture: Darcyego hosts a university-level college, several primary and secondary schools, a municipal museum, and a performing arts venue. Cultural life centers on seasonal festivals, a riverfront promenade, and a weekly farmers’ market.

Governance and landmarks: Darcyego operates under a mayor–council system with a 25-seat municipal council. It is the seat of the Valoria regional administration and is known for landmarks such as Darcyego Cathedral, the Riverside Market, and the Victoria Bridge. Twin towns include Liria and Norhaven.
