Dampunktmålere

Dampunktmålere, also known as dew point meters, are instruments used to measure the dew point temperature of a gas. The dew point is the temperature at which water vapor in the air begins to condense into liquid water. This measurement is crucial in various industrial and scientific applications where controlling humidity is important.

There are several types of dampunktmålere, with the most common being chilled mirror hygrometers and capacitive or resistive hygrometers. Chilled mirror hygrometers work by cooling a mirror surface until condensation forms. The temperature at which condensation appears is the dew point. Capacitive and resistive hygrometers measure changes in the electrical properties of a material that are sensitive to moisture.

These instruments are vital in industries such as HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) for maintaining optimal indoor air quality, in the food and beverage industry to prevent spoilage and ensure product quality, and in the pharmaceutical industry for sensitive manufacturing processes.
