Dalmarnocks

Dalmarnock is an area within the East End of Glasgow, Scotland. It lies on the north bank of the River Clyde. Historically, Dalmarnock was a densely populated working-class district, heavily industrialized, with its economy largely based on shipbuilding and textile manufacturing. A key element of this transformation was the Commonwealth Games 2014, for which the Dalmarnock area hosted the main athletes' village, now redeveloped into residential housing. This project brought significant investment and infrastructure improvements to the district, aiming to revitalize its housing stock and public spaces.

The River Clyde runs along the southern edge of Dalmarnock, providing a natural boundary and a focus for development. The area is served by local amenities and public transport links, including a railway station, connecting it to the wider city.
