DRPCIV
DRPCIV, short for Direcția Regim Permise de Conducere și Înmatriculare a Vehiculelor, was the Romanian government agency responsible for driving licenses and vehicle registration. It operated under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and oversaw the issuance of driving licenses, administration of driving tests, and management of license suspensions or revocations. It also handled vehicle registration, issuance of registration certificates and license plates, and maintained related records of licensed drivers and registered vehicles. The agency functioned through a network of regional directorates and local offices to service applicants nationwide and coordinated with law enforcement on regulatory compliance; online services and counters facilitated everyday processing.
During the 2010s, DRPCIV underwent organizational reforms as part of broader modernization efforts in public administration.
