Délisarkvidék, also known as the South Polar region, refers to the southernmost part of a celestial body. In the context of Earth, it specifically denotes the area surrounding the South Pole. This region is dominated by the continent of Antarctica, a vast landmass almost entirely covered by ice. The Antarctic continent experiences extreme cold, with temperatures dropping far below freezing for most of the year. Due to its geographic location, the Délisarkvidék receives very little direct sunlight, especially during the austral winter.
