Downstream signaling pathways activated by cytokine binding are also finely tuned to ensure appropriate cellular responses.

Dysregulation of cytokine signaling is implicated in a wide range of diseases, including inflammatory disorders, autoimmune diseases, cancer, and infectious diseases.
