Curtobacterium
Curtobacterium is a genus of Gram-positive, non-motile, non-spore-forming bacteria belonging to the phylum Actinobacteria. These bacteria are typically rod-shaped and are commonly found in soil and on plant surfaces. They are known to be facultative anaerobes, meaning they can grow in the presence or absence of oxygen.
The genus Curtobacterium was first described in 1981 and is named after the German bacteriologist Hans Curtmann.
Curtobacterium species are often characterized by their ability to produce pigments, which can vary in color
