Condensationvaporization is a colloquial or informal term that combines two distinct but related phase transitions of matter: condensation and vaporization. Condensation is the process by which a gas or vapor changes into a liquid. This typically occurs when the temperature of the gas is reduced to its dew point, or when the pressure is increased sufficiently. Vaporization, conversely, is the process by which a liquid changes into a gas or vapor. This can occur through evaporation, where the surface of the liquid turns into vapor at temperatures below the boiling point, or boiling, where the liquid turns into vapor at its boiling point and throughout its bulk.

The term "condensationvaporization" is not a recognized scientific term. It likely arises from observing systems where both processes are happening simultaneously or in close proximity. For example, in a closed container with a liquid and its vapor, there is a dynamic equilibrium where condensation and vaporization occur at equal rates. Another common observation is steam rising from hot water; the visible cloud is not steam itself but tiny water droplets formed by the condensation of steam as it cools in the surrounding air. The term might also be used to describe phenomena like the formation of dew (condensation) followed by its evaporation (vaporization) as the sun warms the surface. In essence, it describes a cycle or coexistence of these two fundamental phase changes.
