Concorres

Concorres is a grammatical form in Portuguese, specifically the second-person singular present indicative of the verb concorrer, which means to compete or contend. It is used in contexts that employ the informal second-person “tu” pronoun, and it appears in texts that preserve or teach the tu form. An example sentence is: Tu concorres com outros candidatos para a vaga.

The root of concorrer comes from Latin concurrere, formed from con- meaning “together” and currere meaning “to run.” The present indicative form concorres thus conveys the sense of two or more parties running or contending together in a competition or conflict, and it can be used in discussions of contests, elections, bids, or other competitive situations.
