Colorect is a term often used to refer to the colon and rectum collectively. The colon, also known as the large intestine, is the final section of the digestive system, responsible for absorbing water and electrolytes from indigestible food matter and transmitting the useless waste material from the body. The rectum is the final section of the large intestine, terminating at the anus. It stores feces before they are eliminated from the body through defecation.
