Coincurred

Coincurred is a verb form used to describe costs, liabilities, or obligations that are incurred by two or more parties as a result of a shared activity or arrangement. The form combines the prefix co-, meaning joint or reciprocal, with incur and its past participle incurred, yielding coincurred.

In practice, coincurred is most common in legal, contractual, or financial writing. Some style guides favor a hyphen, writing co-incurred, especially in older or more formal documents; others use the closed form coincurred. Both forms are generally understood, but consistency within a document is advised.
