Cmentarz
Cmentarz is the Polish word for a cemetery, a designated place for the burial of human remains and for memory and mourning. Cemeteries are typically owned or administered by municipalities, churches, or private organizations and may include graves, tombs, mausoleums, and columbaria, as well as chapels, administrative buildings, and green space. They can be secular or religious in character and often feature paths, trees, and memorial monuments. In many Polish cemeteries graves are organized in sections, sometimes by religious denomination, family, or time period.
