Clebsch
Clebsch is a surname most closely associated with the 19th-century German mathematician Alfred Clebsch (1833–1872). He made influential contributions to invariant theory and algebraic geometry and helped establish methods for studying polynomials under symmetry. Clebsch’s work, often in collaboration with Paul Gordan, helped lay the foundations of classical invariant theory and influenced the subsequent development of algebraic geometry and related areas.
