Claris
Claris is a software company that develops and markets software for personal computers. It was originally founded as FileMaker Inc. in 1987, a subsidiary of Apple Computer. In 1998, the company was renamed Claris. Claris is perhaps best known for its FileMaker Pro database software, which has been a popular tool for individuals and businesses for decades. Other notable Claris products include ClarisWorks (later AppleWorks), an integrated productivity suite that combined word processing, spreadsheet, database, and drawing capabilities, and FileMaker Server, for managing and deploying FileMaker databases.
