Citokinezissel

Citokinezissel is a term found in some non-English scientific vocabularies used to describe aspects of cytokinesis, the final stage of cell division in which the cytoplasm divides to form two daughter cells. In these usages, citokinezissel functions as an adjective meaning “relating to cytokinesis” or “cytokinetic.” In English-language literature the standard terms are cytokinetic or cytokinesis-related, and citokinezissel may be encountered mainly in Turkish, Hungarian, or related language contexts.

Cytokinesis itself follows karyokinesis and completes cell division. In animal cells a contractile actomyosin ring forms a cleavage furrow that ingresses to pinch the cell membrane and divide the cell. In plant cells vesicles derived from the Golgi apparatus coalesce at the center to form a cell plate, which develops into separating cell walls. The process is coordinated by signaling networks including Rho family GTPases (such as RhoA), the centralspindlin complex, ECT2, and other actin-regulatory factors. Proper regulation ensures equal partitioning of cytoplasm and organelles and is essential for correct cell number during development.

Variations exist between cell types, but all rely on cytoskeletal dynamics and spindle signals to spatially organize cytokinesis. Failures or abnormalities in cytokinesis can lead to multinucleated or polyploid cells, contributing to developmental defects or disease states such as cancer.
