Cheryomushki

Cheryomushki is a residential neighborhood located in the Vorobyovy Gory District of the Western Administrative Okrug of Moscow, Russia. The name "Cheryomushki" derives from the Russian word for bird cherry trees, which were historically common in the area.

The development of Cheryomushki as a modern residential district began in the mid-20th century as part of a large-scale program to build housing in Moscow. It is characterized by a mix of Soviet-era apartment blocks, including the distinctive "Khrushchyovkas," as well as newer residential buildings constructed in more recent decades.
