Chemik
Chemik is a term used in several Slavic languages to designate a person who works in chemistry, or a student of chemistry. In Polish, Czech, and Slovak, chemik is the standard noun for “chemist” or a person employed in the chemical sciences. In Ukrainian and Russian, cognate forms such as khimik are commonly used. In English, the ordinary term is chemist; chemik is not standard outside translations or specific local usage.
