Chelatar is a fictional place. It is a continent located on the planet of Xylos. Xylos is a world known for its diverse ecosystems and advanced civilizations. Chelatar itself is characterized by its vast, arid plains and towering, crystalline mountains. The climate is generally hot and dry, with extreme temperature fluctuations between day and night.

The dominant intelligent species on Chelatar are the K'tharr. The K'tharr are a reptilian race with a complex social structure and a deep connection to the planet's geological formations. They are known for their engineering prowess, particularly in harnessing geothermal energy and constructing subterranean cities to escape the harsh surface conditions. Their culture is heavily influenced by ancestral traditions and a belief in the spiritual significance of the crystalline mountains, which they call the "Spine of the World."

Flora and fauna on Chelatar have adapted to the extreme environment. Hardy, silicon-based plants are common in the plains, often drawing moisture from deep underground. The most notable animal is the Dune Strider, a large, six-legged creature that can traverse the scorching sands with remarkable speed. Predators include the elusive Rock Viper, which camouflages perfectly against the rocky terrain. Chelatar's resources are primarily mineral-based, with rare isotopes found within the crystalline mountains being a major point of interest for off-world trade.
