Cerruti is an Italian luxury fashion house and brand best known for its Cerruti 1881 line. The name traces to the Cerruti family, who built a textile business in Biella, Piedmont, in 1881 when Antonio Cerruti established a wool mill. The operation grew into one of Italy’s leading textile houses, supplying fabrics to fashion houses and designers.

In the 1950s, Nino Cerruti took control of the company and expanded its activities into clothing. In 1967, Cerruti launched Cerruti 1881, the ready-to-wear line that brought Italian tailoring to a global audience.
