CentauriSystem
CentauriSystem is a hierarchical triple-star system in the southern sky, located in the Centaurus constellation at a distance of roughly 60 light-years from Earth. It consists of three confirmed stars designated CentauriSystem A, B, and C. The primary, CentauriSystem A, is a sun-like F-type main-sequence star. CentauriSystem B is a cooler K-type companion that orbits A in a close, bound pair with an orbital period on the order of decades. CentauriSystem C is a distant M-dwarf that accompanies the AB pair on a wide orbit, with a separation of several hundred astronomical units. The configuration is hierarchical, with A and B forming the inner binary and C acting as a distant tertiary.
Observational studies have identified a circumstellar debris disk in the A–B region, indicating ongoing planetesimal activity
