Cavani

Edinson Cavani is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a striker. Born on 14 February 1987 in Salto, he is commonly known by the nickname El Matador for his goalscoring prowess.

Cavani began his senior career with Danubio and Nacional in Uruguay before moving to Europe with Palermo in 2007. He rose to prominence at Napoli from 2007 to 2013, where his prolific scoring helped the club compete in Serie A and Europe.

In 2013 he joined Paris Saint-Germain, spending seven seasons with the club and winning multiple Ligue 1 titles and domestic cups, becoming one of PSG's leading scorers in the process and earning a reputation as a clinical striker.

In 2020 Cavani signed with Manchester United, contributing as a veteran forward over two seasons. After leaving United, he had spells with Valencia in Spain and Boca Juniors in Argentina.

Internationally, Cavani has been a mainstay of the Uruguay national team since his debut in 2008, earning well over 100 caps and scoring many goals. He represented Uruguay at four FIFA World Cups and several Copa América tournaments, often serving as a captain or key leader.
