Capilano

Capilano is a geographic area and neighborhood located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is situated on the north shore of Burrard Inlet, across from the city of Vancouver. The name "Capilano" originates from the Squamish First Nation word "k'ay'a'la" or "k'ay'ə́ləm", which refers to a specific river in the area and the people who historically inhabited it.

The most famous landmark within Capilano is the Capilano Suspension Bridge, a popular tourist attraction that spans the Capilano River. The bridge, originally built in 1889, offers a dramatic crossing over a forested canyon and is a significant draw for visitors to the region.
