Cantería
Cantería is a Spanish term referring to stonework, particularly fine stonemasonry, and also to the stones themselves used in such construction. Historically, cantería has been a fundamental element in the architecture of Spanish-speaking regions, from ancient Roman structures to medieval castles and Renaissance palaces. The term can apply to both the process of cutting and shaping stone and the finished product.
The craft of cantería involves selecting appropriate stone, often limestone, sandstone, or granite, and then meticulously
