Caedmons
Caedmons, also known as the Caedmon's Hymns, are a collection of Old English poems attributed to Caedmon, a 7th-century Anglo-Saxon poet. These hymns are significant in the history of English literature as they represent the earliest surviving examples of English poetry. The poems are written in alliterative verse and are believed to have been composed around 653 AD, during the reign of King Oswiu of Northumbria.
