CRTteknologien
CRTteknologien, or Cathode Ray Tube technology, was the dominant display technology for televisions and computer monitors for much of the 20th century. It relies on a vacuum tube containing an electron gun at the rear and a phosphorescent screen at the front. The electron gun fires a beam of electrons, which are then accelerated and deflected by magnetic fields. These deflected beams strike the phosphor coating on the inside of the screen, causing it to glow and produce an image.
The color reproduction in CRTteknologien was achieved through the use of three electron guns, one each for
While CRTteknologien offered good color vibrancy and deep blacks, it also had limitations. The tubes were bulky
