CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) is a certification program presented by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). The certification is designed for professionals in the fields of information technology, risk management, and information systems control.

CRISC is considered a globally recognized credential, which aims to validate an individual's knowledge and skills in the following areas:

1. Risk identification, assessment, and mitigation

2. Information systems control design and implementation

3. Information systems acquisition, development, and implementation

4. Information systems operations management and maintenance

5. Technical information systems controls

To be eligible for the CRISC certification, a candidate must have one or more years of work experience in IS control and risk management. Additionally, candidates should possess a working knowledge of one or more of the five CRISC domains.

The CRISC certification is delivered through computer-based testing and is valid for a period of three years. To maintain the certification, professionals must complete 120 professional development units (PDUs) and pay a recertification fee.

CRISC has gained prominence due to its rigorous standards and extensively tested methodology. It is viewed as a trusted benchmark for individuals pursuing careers in risk management and IS control.
