CP037, also known as IBM037 or EBCDIC-US, is a character encoding standard used primarily in IBM mainframe environments. It is part of the Extended Binary Coded Decimal Interchange Code (EBCDIC) family of character encodings. CP037 is an 8-bit encoding that includes a total of 256 characters, which are divided into two sets: a graphics set and an alphanumeric set. The graphics set includes symbols and special characters, while the alphanumeric set includes uppercase letters, digits, and some punctuation marks.

CP037 is designed to be compatible with the earlier EBCDIC code pages, such as CP036 and CP273, but it extends the character set to include additional symbols and characters.
