COMAP
COMAP stands for the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving mathematics education. COMAP is best known for its annual High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling, often referred to as the M3 Challenge. This competition challenges high school students to work in teams to solve real-world problems using mathematical modeling techniques. Participants are given a problem and a limited timeframe to develop a mathematical model, analyze it, and present their findings in a comprehensive report.
In addition to the M3 Challenge, COMAP also offers other programs and resources for students and educators.
