CGACanada

CGACanada, officially the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada, was the national umbrella organization for Canada’s Certified General Accountants. It coordinated the activities of the provincial CGA associations and represented the CGA profession at the national level. The organization supported professional standards, credentialing, continuing professional development, public-policy advocacy, and international engagement; it also helped publish guidance and maintain ethical and technical codes for CGAs.

CGAs

members
and
acted
as
the
national
voice
for
the
CGA
community.

CMA,

CGA

As
part
of
this
reform,
CGA
Canada
ceased
operations
as
a
separate
national
body,

transitioned
to
the
CPA
designation.
Provincial
CGA
associations
were
replaced
or
subsumed
by
the
provincial
CPA
bodies,
which
now
regulate
licensing
and
professional
standards
for
the
profession.
