CD11 refers to the alpha chain subunits of the beta-2 integrin family expressed on leukocytes. The known CD11 subunits are CD11a (ITGAL), CD11b (ITGAM), CD11c (ITGAX), and CD11d (ITGAD). Each pairs with the beta-2 integrin CD18 to form a heterodimeric receptor: LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18), Mac-1 (CD11b/CD18), CR4 (CD11c/CD18), and αDβ2 (CD11d/CD18).
