Scope and implementation: CBSEi is implemented through CBSE-affiliated international schools and select partner institutions that adopt its guidelines. Instruction is typically conducted in English and includes the CBSE course structure up to senior secondary levels, with subjects drawn from the CBSE syllabus (languages, sciences, mathematics, social studies, and elective subjects). It emphasizes competency-based learning and aligns with CBSE's assessment patterns.

Curriculum and assessment: The curriculum follows the CBSE/NCERT framework, designed to ensure comparability with CBSE schools in India.
