CBCTscanning
CBCT scanning, also known as Cone Beam Computed Tomography, is a specialized type of X-ray imaging technology used in various fields, particularly in dentistry and medicine. Unlike conventional CT scanners that use a fan-shaped beam and rotate around the patient, CBCT uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam. This beam rotates around a patient, acquiring approximately 150-200 two-dimensional images. These images are then reconstructed into a three-dimensional dataset.
The primary advantage of CBCT is its ability to produce detailed, three-dimensional images of hard tissues,
In dentistry, CBCT is frequently used for implant planning, orthodontic assessments, diagnosing impacted teeth, evaluating temporomandibular
