Bézierova

Bézierova refers to a family of parametric curves used in computer graphics and related fields. These curves are defined by a set of control points. The most common types are Bézier curves, which are characterized by their mathematical simplicity and intuitive control. A Bézier curve is determined by its endpoints and one or more intermediate control points. The curve passes through the first and last control points, but does not necessarily pass through the intermediate ones. Instead, these intermediate points "pull" the curve towards them, influencing its shape.

The degree of a Bézier curve corresponds to one less than the number of control points. For example, three control points define a quadratic Bézier curve (degree 2), and four control points define a cubic Bézier curve (degree 3). Cubic Bézier curves are particularly widely used due to their ability to represent complex shapes smoothly and their computational efficiency. They are fundamental in vector graphics software like Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape, and are used in font design, animation, and the creation of smooth paths for objects. The mathematical formulation of Bézier curves involves Bernstein polynomials.
