Bury

Bury is a town in Greater Manchester, England, and the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury. It lies on the River Irwell, about seven miles northwest of central Manchester, near the eastern edge of the West Pennine Moors. Historically part of Lancashire, Bury developed as a market town in the medieval period and expanded during the Industrial Revolution, with textile manufacture and coal mining contributing to its growth.
