BunyoroKitara
Bunyoro-Kitara is a historical kingdom located in present-day western Uganda. Its origins are rooted in oral traditions, with the kingdom believed to have been founded by a dynastic line originating from the Chwezi, a legendary people. The kingdom reached its zenith of power and influence in the 17th and 18th centuries, controlling a vast territory that encompassed much of present-day western Uganda and parts of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and southern South Sudan.
