Bunjevac
Bunjevac is a term historically used to refer to a South Slavic ethnic subgroup. Primarily associated with regions in present-day Croatia and Serbia, Bunjevci have a distinct cultural and historical identity. Their origins are a subject of academic discussion, with various theories suggesting roots in the Dinaric Alps or other Balkan areas.
The Bunjevac community traditionally inhabited the Pannonian Plain, particularly areas around Subotica in Serbia and Slavonia
The term "Bunjevac" itself has seen shifts in its usage and self-identification among the people it describes.
